SPONYonline’s Next Event will be
“Today’s World of A&R”
Join us on Tuesday, March 9th, 7:00pm – 9:00pm, Eastern Time, for our next live-streamed EDU-Pitch event! Part seminar, part song pitch, our stellar industry panel will be comprised of A&R executives from Rykodisc Records (a Warner Music label), Bug Music and Songs Publishing.
We will hear about the role of A&R in today’s market, what they look for, who they’re signing, and what it takes to get a deal these days.
Then, 50 songs will be chosen at random to be pitched on-air. (All participants will be allowed to provide a link to a site or page where their music can be heard, which will then be forwarded to the panelists.)
In addition, you may submit questions to the panel, and communicate with each other via our ongoing Chat Room.
Tickets are $20 and are non-refundable.
I am afraid it is too late to have your song heard on-air, but after you register you may provide a link to a website, myspace, Facebook or other page which features your music and which will be given to each panelist. Send it to joy@ sponyonline.com. And, you can still enjoy the information our A&R executives will share, send in a question for them and interact with the other songwriters online in the SPONY Chat Room.

Here’s what you’ll need to view SPONYonline events:
* A High Speed Internet Connection.
* A common Web browser (like Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari) that runs on most operating systems, including Windows and Mac OSX.

* Speakers. You don’t want to miss any of the music here, so we also recommend you have speakers connected to your computer.
* The password you’ll receive after registering.
