Important! Here's how it works:
Each submitted song will be assigned a number for anonymity. The panel of industry judges will listen to as much or as little of the song as it takes for them to determine if it is something which will fit their needs. There will be no critique and no comment. It is a Pass/Keeper format. A “Keeper” is a song which one or more of the judges find interesting enough to take back to their office for another listen. There is no guarantee that a licensing deal will be struck. SPONY is only providing the forum. Any subsequent negotiation and/or deal will be done directly with the writers and the entity interested in licensing the song(s).
Please bring with you three copies of the lyric sheet (one for each judge) and if your CD has more than one cut on it, please clearly mark which song you are submitting for the Pitch-a-Thon. An unmarked CD will default to Cut 1. |
